HOMEWORK: For Tuesday: Read texts for synthesis essay, 167--end of Chapter 4.  Be aware of the 15 minute guideline for reading AP texts (though not necessarily bound by it).

Homework check: annotations and evidence from Chapter 4 through page 166.

Whole class discussed rhetorical purposes of evidence in essays from Chapter 4.
Groups shared and discussed evidence for a concession argument, as in the Activity on page 162.

DUE DATES
TUESDAY, March 21: Read texts for synthesis essay, 167--end of Chapter 4.  Be aware of the 15 minute guideline for reading AP texts (though not necessarily bound by it). HINT: be aware of need to collect evidence for a concession/refutation section of tomorrow's synthesis essay.

FRIDAY, March 24: Each group must submit a total of three AP-style multiple choice questions per group member for the class's use.
